The primary purposes of the Association shall be:

1. to represent its members in collective bargaining relations with the college district;
2. to better serve the educational needs of the community;
3. to promote professional standards and attitudes within the faculty;
4. to form a responsible, representative professional body which is capable of directing and developing faculty group action on professional matters.
